Can I try WinJur before I buy it?

Yes, you may download our WinJur Starter Edition. It is free and fully functional (you can also test it on a network). You can use this version with up to five (5) clients and/or cases.

How long is the trial period?

You may use the WinJur free version as long as you want. The only limitation is in the number of clients and/or cases (five).

Do I have to reinstall WinJur if I buy it after the trial?

No, you don't need to download or reinstall anything. Once you purchase WinJur, you will receive your license keys which will remove all limitations of the Starter Edition. Also, your database (e.g., clients, matters, contacts, etc.) will remain in place.

How are WinJur editions different from one another?

WinJur Personal and WinJur Workgroup Editions use the Microsoft Access database format (MS ODBC/MDB). The Personal Edition can be used by a single user only, while up to five (5) colleagues can use the Workgroup Edition on a network. WinJur Enterprise Edition uses Microsoft SQL Server for the database. This version is a full client/server application that delegates most of the work to the SQL Server. You can find more information about WinJur versions here.

Do you provide support if I have any questions?

You can find all our User Manuals here. For extended support, we strongly recommend that you refer to the consultants that helped you with the WinJur installation and set-up. In case you don't have a preferred consultant yet, we will suggest one from our certified partners. For reference, you can find the list of our partner consultants and their contacts here.

Can I use WinJur on a network? How many users does it support?

Yes, you can use WinJur on a network. The Professional Edition supports up to five (5) users (MS ODBC/MDB), while the Enterprise Edition has no limitation (MS SQL). If you plan more than five (5) users, we strongly recommend the Enterprise Edition, that runs as a real client/server application. Some of our customers have over 250 users on a single SQL server.

Where does WinJur save and store my data?

WinJur saves all the data in a single database. Documents are stored in the WinJur documents folder (usually in your "Documents" folder on your file server). Outlook emails are copied and saved as documents, but you can still view them from your Outlook too.

Which files and folders should I have in my WinJur backup?
